Choir

St. Andrew's Church Choir sings regularly at the 10 o'clock Sunday morning services each week and at other occasions.

The Choir has a mix of young adults, ladies and gentlemen of different ages.

The Choir practices regularly for Sunday services as well as other special occasions including the Town Remembrance Sunday service and annual All Souls memorial service as well as for Christmas carol services and Christmas Eve services.

Choir Practice lasts one hour every Friday evening in term time, 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm and meets in the Choir Vestry.

If you are interested in joining the choir you are welcome to come to a choir practice and talk to Colin Marston, the Choirmaster (01768 863518), or alternatively on a Sunday morning.

We have urgent need for younger members, boys and girls; adult members both ladies and men voices are most welcome to join us, especially if you sing Alto, Tenor or Bass.

The Choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) and participates regularly in Cumbria Area and North of England events, including the annual Festival Evensong usually held in October with the presentation of Singing Awards which is held at a different church around the diocese or Carlisle Cathedral alternate years.
